are wonderful horses that originate in Eastern Kentucky.  We love to share our experiences with these fine horses to help spread the best kept secret in Kentucky to people in Georgia so they may can realize this fantastic breed of gaited horse for themselves.  Mountain Horses would be described just as their name suggests; they are tough, high endurance, sure-footed mounts who deliver you a smooth ride across any terrain.  They do not require special shoeing as most other gaited breeds do.  Barefoot or keg shod, Mountain Horses travel with a 4-beat consistent gait.  Some of them are actually multi-gaited and will rack, do a running-walk, and even foxtrot! They have the most excellent disposition of any gaited breed around.  Even the stallions are well known for their gentle, quiet nature.  All of these horses are registered with both the Mountain Pleasure Horse Association and the Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse Association.
They are perfect all-purpose horses for work, trail, pleasure or show!

Winners in both the show ring and on the trails, Mountain Pleasure Horses will get you there with class, durability, and of course, a smooth ride!
